Pat Trainor, Director

Pat has more than 20 years’ experience in building, civil and structural engineering and project management in large scale public and private infrastructure projects up to $100M in value. He is adept at representing the client in all phases of the project cycle from the development of concepts through to handover to the end user. He is an experienced design team manager and construction manager

Pat oversaw the $100 million multi-level car park and plaza development at Adelaide Airport, which included the installation of the adjoining footbridge, water feature, Subway and WHSmith Express retail outlets. He oversaw the demolition of the old domestic terminal, the expansion of the long-term car park and the first construction phase of the $26 million terminal expansion project. Pat was also the Contract Manager for the $100M Woomera Runway Overlay for the Department of Defence

Pat also has 20 years’ experience in the Defence Force Reserves. In 2010 he was selected from the Reserve Army for operational service in Afghanistan as the Garrison Engineer Afghanistan. In this role Pat led a large team responsible for maintaining all Australian facilities and infrastructure from Kabul to Kandahar.

Pat is an Independent Member of the Burnside Council Assessment Panel (CAP) and previously served as a member of the Development Assessment Panel for the City of Tea Tree Gully for seven years, giving him significant local government and planning experience.

Pat is a Chartered Professional Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Scott Penhall, General Manager

Scott has more than 30 years of extensive hands on management and technical experience across all aspects of the construction industry working throughout Australia and in Malaysia. Scott has experience across all procurement models, including design and construct projects, in both the commercial and residential sector ranging in project size from $100k to $200m. Scott is an effective leader, skilled in enlisting the support of all team members in aligning client, project and organisational goals.

Scott is an organised, detail-oriented, and conscientious self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to strategise and prioritise effectively to accomplish multiple tasks and stay calm under pressure. 

Rob Deborsey, Senior Project Manager

Rob is an experienced project manager and surveyor with more than 15 years’ experience in the construction industry.

With expertise in a variety of construction types, Rob has a thorough knowledge of development and construction processes, contract and tendering variations, and compliance management across the education, housing, health, commercial and domestic sectors.

Originally from Manchester, Rob is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and the Chartered Institute of Building.

Dr Ahmad Bahrami, Manager Engineering Services

Ahmad has over 35 years’ experience in both structural and mechanical engineering.

He has a PhD from the University of NSW in vibration engineering. He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia.

Angus Johnson, Senior Engineer - Facades and Glazing

Angus has over 25 years’ experience in façade and glazing engineering up to $10M in project value.

Angus holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Arts degree. He is a Fellow and Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia.

 

 

 

Eddie Katari, Senior Structural Engineer

Eddie holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from METU University, Turkey with emphasis on advanced structural engineering and design. 

Eddie has a wide range of experience gained in Australia and overseas. He has been involved in a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, industrial and residential buildings. 

Since joining Anson Solutions in 2010, Eddie has undertaken the design of several steel and concrete structures as well as timber framed buildings. 

 

 

 

Sandeep Baral, Senior Civil Enginner

Sandeep has over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with emphasis on civil infrastructure design and documentation. Sandeep has a wide range of experience gained in Australia and overseas. He has been involved in a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, industrial sub-divisions and residential and commercial building related civil design.  Since joining Anson Solutions in 2015, Sandeep has undertaken numerous building related civil design projects.

Sandeep also has experience in conducting main drainage, sewer and water design and construction audits.


John Laird, Senior Construction Manager

With more than 35 years industry experience, John has delivered a multitude of projects across all sectors of the construction spectrum. Many of these projects were delivered through the ‘design & construct’ model demanding detailed knowledge of the town planning process combined with a real understanding of the built form and the regulations that determine this product.

This fundamental skill was then extended into land sourcing, development projects, and the complex feasibility studies that underpin such projects.

John has contributed back into the industry in many ways including Deputy Chair of the Industrial Development Committee of the Property Council (SA Division), Director of the Construction Industry Training Board, and co-founder and Committee Member of the Lean Construction Institute (SA Chapter).

John Demasi, Building Supervisor - Residential

John is a qualified building supervisor and has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. Built upon his desire to go to the extra mile with customers and satisfy their needs John has gained a reputation for the highest standards of work across the industry. John has extensive experience in commercial, residential, medium density housing and custom-built homes, including multiple home construction of up to 35 homes per annum and overseeing up to 20 staff.
